Apparently, it will not be wrong to say that all the copies of the Windows 10 are authorized and which shows that Microsoft has already earned a lot from Windows 10.

Unluckily, the company seemed to earn more from this platform, therefore, the company has introduced ads into Windows 10’s file explorer.

As from the different groups at Thurrott, the ads, which are helping Microsoft to promote its new product and services, are helping the company to dominate the cloud market.

Some of the users have been testing One Drive cloud storage service in beta version. Previously, the company has notified its users about this in the last Anniversary update.

These ads seem to be small pop-ups but the question is how it starts. Microsoft has many if the other products to be put as ads in File Explorer such as Office 365 subscriptions and Skype credits.

Just follow these steps to turn off these settings:

  • Open File Explorer
  • Click View > Options > Change folder and search options
  • In the Folder Options, select the View tab
  • In the Advanced Settings box, scroll down and uncheck the option labeled “Show sync provider notifications.”
  • Click OK
