Xbox One will get Dolby Vision HDR support with Blu-ray Disc

Recently Microsoft announced that Xbox One will get the next major system update.

Microsoft outlined that the next Xbox One will get Dolby vision support, the aim is to bring Dolby’s in-house high Dynamic Range (HDR) technology which will enable a wider color and increased ratio across supported content and will deliver a wider pool of content.
Xbox Insider head Bradley Rossetti said the company has plans for Dolby Vision video streaming.

Microsoft spokesperson has reportedly confirmed 4K HDR Dolby Vision disc compatibility with an update for all users.

Dolby vision support will give the crown to Xbox One and will enhance its media capabilities.

Currently, Dolby Vision can give up to 12-bit color up to (10,000 nits of brightness) while HDR10 can only give 4,000 nits and 10-bit color. The frame-by-frame processing, allowing color settings and brightness to adapt on the fly will give you better than ever video.

The Update is expected in the coming weeks.
