Xiaomi Mi Mix 2s introduced with Snapdragon 845 and a dual camera setup

Finally, Xiaomi Mi Mix 2s is launched with the more powerful chipset and impressive dual-camera setup but design very similar to Mi Mix 2, Metal frame and ceramic body, vertical and horizontal trim just a millimeter to improve screen to body ratio.

It has 5.99-inch FULL HD IPS screen with 18:9 aspect ratio and curved glass display. Mi Mix 2s has 5MP f/2.0 selfie camera along with dual 12MP camera at the rear in the top left corner. One is regular snapper with large 1.4ɥm pixels and bright f/1.8 aperture – Sony’s IMX363 module, while the other one is telephoto snapper with f/2.4 lens and 1ɥm pixels. Samsung S5K3M3 module and promises quick and accurate autofocus and also does multi-frame NR- takes multiple shots and stacks them together to reduce noise.

The major change over predecessor is the Snapdragon 845 chipset, promises improved performance over the Snapdragon 835, without increasing battery consumption.

The refreshed software runs Android 8.0. XioAI replaces Google assistant, but maybe this will only apply to Chinese users.

Finally, Mi Mix 2s comes with Qi wireless charging support. They announced $16 7.5W Qi wireless charger to make sure everyone can take advantage, and the battery has 3,400 mAh capacity, dual-SIM support, Bluetooth 5.0, dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11ac, new X20 LTE modem which enables huge selection of international bands.

Mi Mix 2s has three memory Variants:

    • 6GB RAM plus 64GB storage
    • 6GB plus 128GB
    • 8GB plus 256GB

There is no SD card slot available.

The Xiaomi Mi Mix 2s will be available in black and white colors and start price is $530. The 6GB+128GB version will be $575, while the top 8GB+256GB model will be $640 and will include a free wireless charger. Sales will officially start from April at Mi.com and Mi Home stores.
