Xiaomi Mi X Fold 2 and K50 Extreme Edition were sold out within 5 minutes of being released for sale today. The Mi X Fold 2 is Xiaomi’s newest flagship smartphone, while the K50 Extreme Edition is a high-end gaming smartphone.

Both devices were highly anticipated before their release, and demand has exceeded supply. Xiaomi, in their official statements regarding the matter on Weibo said

In the meantime, those who could not snag a Mi X Fold 2 or K50 Extreme Edition will have to wait patiently or look for alternatives.

Xiaomi Mi X Fold 2 Specs and Features

The Mix Fold 2 has a smaller shell and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. Xiaomi’s device measures 5.4 mm when unfolded and 11.2 mm when folded. This makes one-handed use easier compared to Samsung’s model. The 8.02-inch 2,160 x 1,914 LTPO primary screen runs at 120Hz. Gorilla Glass Victus covers the exterior’s 120Hz 6.56-inch AMOLED panel.

The Mix Fold 2 has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 processor, 12GB of RAM, and a 4,500mAh battery with 67W charging. Xiaomi claims a 40-minute charge.

The Mix Fold 2 has a Leica-tuned triple-sensor back configuration with a horizontal hump. The main camera upgrade is 50MP Sony IMX766. 13MP ultrawide and 8MP 2x telephoto support.

Xiaomi’s MIUI Fold 13, based on Android 12, powers the Mix Fold 2. Changes include a Galaxy Z Fold 4-like taskbar and improved keyboard and gestures.

The 6.67-inch 1.5K 120 Hz AMOLED display of the Redmi K50 Extreme supports HDR10+ and 12bit. Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor, up to 12 GB LPDDR5 RAM, and 512 GB UFS 3.1 storage are all available. Xiaomi boasts about the phone’s gaming ability, citing 58.03 FPS in three hours of Genshin Impact.

The camera of the Redmi K50 Extreme Edition is 108 MP. It’s not the same sensor that Xiaomi used in their low-cost phones. The Redmi Note 10 and 11 no longer have ISOCELL HM2; however, the Redmi K50 Extreme does. In addition, OIS. 108 MP camera, 8 MP ultra-wide camera, 2 MP macro lens, and a selfie camera with a resolution of 20 MP.

There is also a 5000 mAh battery, 120 W charging, a 3.5 mm port, and IP53 certification. It is the most affordable Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 smartphone available.
