The Redmi K40 Gaming arrived in April 2021 with a Dimensity 1200, and reports are the successor will use a Mediatek platform.

Digital Chat Station reports that the Redmi K50 Gaming is coming with a Dimensity 9000 – the latest flagship platform by the Taiwanese chipmaker. It will keep the 64MP primary camera and the 5,000 mAh battery, while the screen will be flat and this time will have a fingerprint scanner underneath.

Internally Redmi K50 is designed slightly different from the K40, Which allows the better implementation and performance of the cooling solutions.

We don’t know proper launch date of these gaming device yet, but if we suppose the Redmi K40 release as a reference, we should see the regular Redmi K50 series usually launched in Q1 2022, followed by the Gaming version shortly after.

The upcomng Redmi K50 Gaming Pro is going to come with specifications like 120Hz /144Hz OLED display and with FPC fingerprint sensors. The handset is featured with a quad rear camera setup at the back. And it is expected that the phone have a 64-megapixel Sony Exmor IMX686 sensor as the primary camera. Hopefully, it is featured with a 13-megapixel OV13B10 wide-angle sensor, 8-megapixel OV08856 telemacro sensor, and 2-megapixel GC02M1 sensor as a depth sensor. Again a new version of the smartphone is expected to carry a 108-megapixel Samsung ISOCELL HM2 sensor as well.
