Xiaomi has released the Walkie Talkie 2S. This handheld device facilitates long-distance communication and has some impressive features that set it apart from the competition.
Display and Design
The 1.77-inch color LCD screen on the Xiaomi Walkie Talkie 2S has a resolution of 128 x 160 pixels. The device is compact and light, weighing only 139.5 grams (4.9 ounces). It is lightweight and portable, making it ideal for outdoor activities or communication within a small or large organization.
Connection and Range
The Walkie Talkie 2S, with its 4W transmit power, can cover a communication range of up to 10,000 m2 (107,639 ft2) in a mall setting or up to 5 km (3.1 miles) in an urban area. The device can receive FM radio stations with frequencies ranging from 87 to 108 MHz and supports 100 channels in the 430.000 MHz to 440.0000 MHz band.
The device includes built-in buttons for controlling and connecting it to other walkie-talkies or mobile devices. The Xiaomi app can also share the walkie-talkie’s location and push OTA updates to the device.

Battery and audio
The Walkie Talkie 2S has an integrated 36 mm speaker that produces clear sound, but it also has a 3.5 mm audio jack that allows you to use headphones or Bluetooth to connect to external speakers. The device also has a 2,190 mAh 8.3 Wh battery that can last up to 120 hours on standby or 15 hours when used continuously. It can be charged using a USB-C cable.
Pricing and Availability
The Xiaomi Walkie Talkie 2S is available in Space Gray and costs 299 yuan (US$44) in China. It is currently unknown when or if the device will be released in other markets.
