Just five days earlier, Luis Fonsi’s viral Despacito music video earned the title of world’s most watched video on YouTube with more than 5bn views. Apparently, YouTube is hacked by hackers going with Twitter handle @ProsoxW3b and he managed to delete video along with few other popular video clips.
However, as per the latest development, the deleted videos have been restored on the website. Earlier, after the hack, Despacito video showed a thumbnail with masked people holding guns. After clicking the video, it said: “This video is unavailable.”
The videos remain unchanged, However, the content of videos including titles and thumbnails were changed.
The other artists and their channels that were targeted in this YouTube hack are:
- Adele (AdeleVEVO)
- Selena Gomez (SelenaGomezVEVO)
- Kaaris (KaarisOfficialVEVO)
- Lacrim (LacrimMusicVEVO)
- Chris Brown (ChrisBrownVEVO)
- Luis Fonsi (LuisFonsiVEVO)
- Shakira (ShakiraVEVO)
- Post Malone (PostMaloneVEVO)
- Taylor Swift (TaylorSwiftVEVO)

- Maître Gims (MaitreGimsVEVO)
Below the hacked videos, the hackers wrote “Free Palestine.” Called themselves Prosox and Kuroi’sh, they changed the URLs of the videos as “x – Hacked by Prosox and Kuroi’sh.”
A hacker who goes by the name Prosox on Twitter claimed to have done it just for fun.

At the moment we don’t have any official statement from YouTube confirming the hack. If we manage to get an update we will update you on that later on.
