Last Week after the release of apps for Android TV and Xbox, YouTube TV on mobile has been striving hard for adding useful “reminders for” feature when shows, movies, and other broadcast events air.
After updating the mobile app to version 1.10, the YouTube TV users receive greetings with a prompt for “notifications when your favorites air.” Just like a “plus” button that is placed on the bottom of every content, there will be a bell icon for getting notifications.
For the first time, when the users visit some content then a tutorial will appear before them which will help them in saving a show, team, movie, or broadcast event like an award show.
Users are able to get general reminders for a show or a game but for TV shows, they can only set a reminder for a particular episode.
During this, a new Notification section is added to the settings, where users are capable of seeing a list of the contents they are set to get alerts for.
For disabling a feature, users need to tap on it and it will direct users to a toggle where they can disable a reminder. Apparently, this feature is rolled with version 1.10 on Android and already rolled out to iOS along with the last update.
