According to the document as revealed by the Pakistan Telecommunication authority (PTA) the number of the 3G and 4G users have been recorded as 38.269 million in January 2017, which is now increased to 38.962 million.
And the number of the mobile users are also increased to 137.791 million till February 2017, the mobile has bee increased almost 0.696 million as compared to January 2017.
In the Document, the authority has also given the number of Jazz users which are now increased to 51.876 million till February 2017 as compared to the 51.534 million users recorded in January 2017.
There was also a record increase in the company’s subscribers, which were 41.253 million by the end of December 2016 and 10.27 million Warid subscriber.
However, the subscribers of Zong and Telenor have been reached to 27.706 million and 39.752 million respectively. There is continuous fall in the subscribers of Ufone which are recorded 14.456 million as compared to 18.478 million in January 2017.
3G Users and Subscribers
Jazz is having 12 million 3G users and has been leading the competition against its rival Telecommunication companies and Telenor stays at second position with 10.3 million 3G users. However, there is much decline in the 3G subscribers as the company lost 4.8 million users till February 2017.
According to the report, the number of the 4G subscribers and users have been increased to 735,068 at the end of the February 2017.
However, the number of 4G users and subscribers of Zong have been increased to 3,111,307 at the end of February 2017 as compared to the January 2017.
The Zong 4G subscribers have been increasing rapidly and in few month the company has reached the record level of subscribers.
Therefore, the company is holding more than 75% of the market shares and is having a good number of subscribers every month.
For dominating the market, the company had introduced its 4G Dongles and MiFi devices, which aims to provide the high-speed internet and has been used widely.
