Lemokey L3

As a hardware reviewer, I’ve had the pleasure of using and testing various Keychron keyboards. They consistently impress with their remarkable features and build quality. However, one thing that has always left me wanting more was the absence of a high-speed cable-free option for gaming. Well, Keychron has heard feedback of consumers and introduced the Lemokey L3. It is the first board in their new sub-brand, specifically catering to gamers.

Keychron Lemokey L3 Specs Features

It offers the same remarkable features I’ve come to expect from Keychron keyboards: a full aluminum frame, gasket mounting, mesmerizing RGB lighting, internal foam for added comfort, hot-swap switch sockets, PBT keycaps for durability, and seamless programming capabilities with the VIA tool. These are all the things that keyboard enthusiasts, including myself, love to rave about.

Keychron Lemokey L3 Specs

What sets the Lemokey L3 apart is its dual wireless connectivity. You get both 2.4GHz and Bluetooth options, allowing you to choose between. With a 1000Hz polling rate and support for N-key rollover, this keyboard ensures a lightning-fast and reliable connection. Not only for casual users even for the most enthusiastic eSports players. It’s fantastic to see Keychron addressing the need for speed and performance in gaming.

Tailored for Gamers’ Needs

Keychron didn’t stop there. The Lemokey L3 has some gaming-specific enhancements that immediately caught my attention. It features four dedicated macro keys conveniently placed on the right side, below the radial dial. These additional keys are a dream come true for gamers who rely on macros to gain an edge in their favorite games.

Additionally, the keyboard’s design takes on a chunkier, faux-military look, perfect for those who want a gaming aesthetic that matches their passion.

The Potential Limitation: Customization

As a seasoned gamer, I value customization, and Keychron has always excelled in that area. However, the Lemokey L3 relies on the QMK/VIA system for customization. While VIA is an excellent tool for customization, allowing you to create custom layouts and macros in browser, it does have a slight limitation. Without an active Windows program, the Lemokey L3 won’t be able to switch profiles on a per-game basis.

Although this won’t affect most PC gamers who can rely on in-game customization options, it’s worth noting for those who prefer a more granular level of control.

Availability and Excitement

The Lemokey L3 will soon be available in: white, black, and blue, with Keychron’s iconic contrasting keycap options. The keyboard will debut on Kickstarter later in July.

After the Kickstarter campaign, a regular launch will follow, giving gamers everywhere the chance to experience the Lemokey L3 for themselves. I’m eager to see the specific pricing and release details as they become available.

Keep an eye out for the Kickstarter campaign and get ready to level up your gaming experience with the Lemokey L3.
