Transparent electronics are becoming all the rage these days, with brands like Nothing leading the way with their Ear 1, Ear 2 and Phone 1 devices. Among the brands that have jumped on the bandwagon is Acefast, with their Crystal (2) T8 wireless earbuds. Let’s take a look at the design, build quality, and performance in our Acefast Crystal (2) T8 Review and see if it’s worth buying.

Acefast Crystal (2): Unboxing Experience

Before diving into the review, let’s discuss what comes in the package. The unboxing experience of the ACEFAST T8 is a delight for tech enthusiasts and music lovers alike. The outer box is flashy, with text all around it. The package includes the T8 wireless headset, a matching silicone gel case, and a lanyard with the same silicone gel.

There are also three extra ear caps, a USB Type-C cable for charging, and a multilingual user manual. The thoughtful inclusion of these accessories adds an extra layer of protection and convenience to the T8 earbuds, making the unboxing experience enjoyable and satisfying.

Acefast Crystal (2): Design & Build Quality

The Acefast Crystal (2) design is unique compared to other TWS earbuds on the market. The transparent design lets you see the insides of the earbuds and the case. It resembles Nothing Earbuds 1 for the most part. A digital battery indicator on the top of the case shows you the percentage of battery remaining, and four bars for each earbud indicate their individual battery levels.

There’s a Type-C port at the bottom, and both earbuds have white lights that light up while charging or connecting.

The shell is made of sturdy plastic and doesn’t creak or make any noise. The earbuds are held in place with magnets and won’t fall out on their own. The best part of the design is the pulsating LED inside the earbuds, which gives them a unique and cool look.

After testing out the ACEFAST Crystal (2) Earbuds T8, I have to say, I’m thoroughly impressed! One of the standout features of these earbuds is their magnetic attachment to the charging case, which adds a ton of value to their overall usability.

I put them through some rigorous tests, subjecting them to sudden jolts and movements, and I was pleased to see that the earbuds remained attached to the charging case without any issues.

Acefast Crystal (2): Performance

In terms of performance, the Acefast Crystal (2) T8 provides a decent listening experience. The earbuds use Bluetooth 5.3, which provides a stable connection and good range. The earbuds have touch controls that allow you to play/pause, skip tracks, and adjust the volume. The touch controls are responsive and work well, but they can sometimes be a bit finicky.

One of the key advantages of the ACEFAST T8 earbuds is their 10mm aluminum-magnesium alloy driver and 6mm titanium dome tweeters. This driver and tweeter combination delivers a detailed, clear sound with excellent separation and clarity, providing an immersive audio experience.

Acefast Crystal (2): Sound Quality

Regarding the sound quality of the Crystal (2) earbuds, it’s important to note that they aren’t designed to cater to audiophiles. The emphasis is on design, which is apparent in the bass-heavy sound output. However, tweaking the equalizer can make a big difference and improve the listening experience. While the highs are decent, the mids are just good, and there’s a clear focus on lower bass and sub-bass frequencies.

I tested the earbuds with various genres of music, from classical to rock to electronic. Overall, the sound quality was almost consistently impressive across the board. The soundstage is wide, providing an immersive listening experience. The earbuds deliver a balanced sound signature that caters to a wide range of musical preferences. Additionally, the earbuds are loud enough for outdoor listening, but there’s no AptX or LDAC, only AAC, and SBC. There’s no active noise cancellation, but the earbuds support the latest Bluetooth 5.3. I did not experience any connectivity issues during my testing with the ACEFAST T8 earbuds.

Acefast Crystal (2): Comfort and Controls

Another cool feature of these earbuds is their adjustable ear caps, which make wearing them for extended periods of time a breeze. You can easily adjust the ear caps from four different sizes available in the box. Different options are there to ensure a secure and comfortable fit.

I wore these earbuds for a movie marathon session that lasted a good two hours, and I didn’t experience any discomfort or stress in my ears. The designers clearly put a lot of thought and effort into the ergonomic design of these earbuds. This is a big plus for those planning to use these earbuds for extended periods, such as during long flights or movie marathons.

The controls aren’t very responsive and take time to register touches. There’s also no way to customize. However, you’ll become familiar with them after using them a few times. A single tap adjusts the volume, a double tap pauses the track, and a triple tap skips the song.

Acefast Crystal (2): Battery Life

The battery life of the Crystal (2) earbuds is just as advertised, with 6-7 hours of listening time on a single charge. The case can charge the earbuds in around an hour, and you can charge the earbuds a little over three times using the case. This puts the overall battery life at around 25 hours, which is not far off from the claim of 30 hours. This means that I can use the earbuds throughout the day without worrying about running out of power.

The segmented LED digital display on the charging case shows the remaining battery power of the earbuds and the charging case, allowing me to monitor the battery status easily.

Acefast Crystal (2): Is It Worth the $75.99 Price Tag?

I’m quite impressed! With a competitive price tag of $75.99, these earbuds offer great value for the features they provide. And the best part? You can get an additional 20% off with the promo code ACEFAST81, bringing the cost down to just $60, which is an absolute steal for their design and features.

That’s all for now on Acefast Crystal (2) T8 review; I’m eagerly looking forward to their newer version, as I hope it will come with some features that were missing in the current T8 earbuds. I’m keeping my fingers crossed for features like Active Noise Cancellation, better codecs, wireless charging, and improved sound quality. If Acefast can deliver on these upgrades, it would certainly make the Acefast Crystal (3) earbuds an even more enticing choice for tech enthusiasts like me.
